A basecamp liger?

Tent spikes with a liger on top
Nothing says “I came, I climbed, I conquered” like a really weird stuffed monster thing on a spike.

I’m guessing that this “basecamp liger” is probably part of some tradition or social norm among climbers, where they like to decorate their tent stakes with animal images (like the tent spike flamingos I wrote about recently). So, in that tradition, these liger spikes combine the image of a lion with a tiger to create “liger” which supposedly has magic powers — hopefully to keep you from falling down the mountain or something similarly useful.

The set of 4 liger basecamp spikes are $10. Rawwwrrr!

  1. It’s all about Napoleon Dynamite, dude! If he went camping, he would definitely be using these.
