Fire and ice gizmo entertains – slowly

The fire and ice light
What a strange invention, especially for a candle.

Combining a shade made from ice, this lighting gizmo is a semi-functional, semi-artistic, semi-entertaining item. You pour water into the mold and freeze it. The ice forms a hollow shade which you place over a small candle. The candle slowly melts the ices in about 3 hours, depending on your ambient temperature of course, and the water runs back into the mold/base, ready to be re-frozen.

It’s an interesting idea and I could see it being a neat conversation item for a restaurant or somewhere that uses dim candle lighting like that.

The fire and ice candle-light is $50.
