Oh yeah, I forgot to mention… talking on the phone even with the stock iPhone earbuds sounds strange to me, but is easily solved by popping out the left bud. Using only one bud seems to balance out the volume of my own voice and the person I’m talking too.

Sorry if this sounds too simple, but, really, have you tried using only one bud?

@Neon: Thanks so much for the discount code! That REALLY brings the price down into the range of cheaper audio-only bud sets. You’re lucky to be able to attend MacWorld – I’m jealous! Too bad they didn’t announce anything more substantial than the software and 17″ MBP though

Thanks for the review… I listened to these at Macworld Expo today, and was pretty impressed, but after having my head beaten in by auditioning a bunch of other ‘buds (plus general show noise chaos) it was good to have a reality check. You convinced me to order a set.

BTW, I didn’t see the $65 deal on their site, but no worries; there’s a Macworld SHOW SPECIAL… $40.00 until Jan 19!
Use the code SHOWSP09. (I believe the code is actually good for 50% off anything they sell.)

With shipping and California tax, the z.buds came to about $52.

One more thing… the red is in stock, but the black is back-ordered for about a month.

@Pierre: Thanks for the honest feedback. When you say the plastic split, was it the bud itself or the ear-pad? I haven’t had any issues with mine as of this time. Hopefully they stay that way.
